The Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA is the first step for aspiring young drivers making the transition from karting into single seaters. The series entered an exciting new phase in 2022 with the second generation Tatuus T-421 chassis – featuring the all-important halo safety feature – and Abarth engines.
Wera Tools British F4 will continue to be the premier UK single-seater series for drivers looking to progress their careers with ambitions to follow in the footsteps of former British F4 champion Lando Norris and reach the pinnacle of the sport – Formula 1.
Since 2022, Motorsport UK has organised and promoted the championship, which features leading teams and at a competitive price enables drivers as young as 15 years of age to race on some of the most challenging and renowned circuits in the world. As the championship is certified by the FIA, 12 Super Licence points will be awarded to the overall champion to aid their progression through the single seater ranks.
British F4 offers real prospects for progression of young talent into the international scene and the championship’s 30 races, held over ten rounds, will continue to be showcased on the high-profile support package of the British Touring Car Championship, which features live free-to-air TV coverage.

Well Joseph, congratulations, a really good drive and and a great and well deserved win for you there. But it it sort of felt like you had to do it twice. Two very good launches, and particularly from the from the restart as it were. Yeah, I mean I perfected the starts at the end.
SPEAKER_01Um the first start was probably a bit better than the second, but yeah, a bit annoyed when the red flag came out and we reshuffled on the grid. But yeah, I kept my head focused and looked down and just drove for my race and then won out. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00A very good launch both times, and you saw a gap and and went for it, didn't you? Because it's critical your positioning for that first corner.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean yeah. I had a really good start, went round the outside, and then yeah, just cleared them both. So yeah, it is critical to get a good start here, even wherever you start. So that's the foundation of your race, really, to start, so and where you start, obviously. But yeah, really happy.
SPEAKER_00Obviously, Silverstone GP circuit's going to go on your list of one of your favourite places, I'm sure. Um, you had clean air, obviously, but it was very confident, very good lap times, and you showed a great deal of pace.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean I was just cruising at the end to be honest, just to save tires, save fuel, and yeah, just bring it home. So, yeah, really happy with my pace at the start. I mean, could have pushed a bit more, but there was no need, so yeah, really happy.
SPEAKER_00Do you feel this is the the pace and the performance that you've had all season, but it just hasn't quite all come together and now it has?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean I've been really unlucky with some incidents on the start line, um, a few uh separate incidents, but yeah, I think I should be back at the top hopefully and keep winning races. So I feel like this is what I am and this is my pace. So yeah.
SPEAKER_00Is this a kickstart now for the rest of the season? It gives you a new momentum to be in there. I mean, Zanvort is coming up as well, which is exciting, but is this the opportunity now for you to now really start to bag those points?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean I'll try my best to bag as many points as I can, stay consistent and do what I can. So, yeah, I mean it's a new foundation, so I'll keep going and keep trying my best.
SPEAKER_00So lots of smiles from the team as well. They all enjoyed your victory just as much as you did, which is important, isn't it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean they deserve it. All the times we've been through recently, brands hatched, rebuilding my car overnight, so yeah, and rebuilding my car just then before this race, so yeah, it felt perfect. So thank you to my mechanic and my engineer Mark, team manager. So, yeah, thank you.
