The Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA is the first step for aspiring young drivers making the transition from karting into single seaters. The series entered an exciting new phase in 2022 with the second generation Tatuus T-421 chassis – featuring the all-important halo safety feature – and Abarth engines.
Wera Tools British F4 will continue to be the premier UK single-seater series for drivers looking to progress their careers with ambitions to follow in the footsteps of former British F4 champion Lando Norris and reach the pinnacle of the sport – Formula 1.
Since 2022, Motorsport UK has organised and promoted the championship, which features leading teams and at a competitive price enables drivers as young as 15 years of age to race on some of the most challenging and renowned circuits in the world. As the championship is certified by the FIA, 12 Super Licence points will be awarded to the overall champion to aid their progression through the single seater ranks.
British F4 offers real prospects for progression of young talent into the international scene and the championship’s 30 races, held over ten rounds, will continue to be showcased on the high-profile support package of the British Touring Car Championship, which features live free-to-air TV coverage.

Well Lewis, congratulations finishing on the podium and providing us with the race of the weekend. I mean that was such a thrilling end to uh to this international trophy uh event here at Silverstone. Just your thoughts on on particularly the other the sort of the last five or six laps.
SPEAKER_00Well it was a really good race. I'm disappointed, but I mean I know I'm leading the championship now, so we'll look confident in Tazambort, but the race for me was about getting as many places as quickly as possible. I did that, got into second quite early and showed the pace to everyone, um showed what I was capable of and had a go on the penultimate lap, but George didn't make a mistake, so well done to him and Hall of Virtuosi Racing. I mean, providing we did a better qualifying, this story could have been different for us, but it is what it is.
SPEAKER_01It is what it is, and I think you should be really proud of that performance. You showed some really good racecraft in there. You tried every trick in the book to try and distract George in those last sort of five laps, didn't you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean he didn't make a mistake, so well done to him. He drove really well all weekend, um, and it's a bit of luck after what happened to him in race one, so yeah, fair play to him, and I'm more determined to do better in Zamfort now.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. Um on that last lap, you made a couple of really important lunges to try and get around. I mean, I it was late late on in the race. Were tyres suffering as well? Was that going through your mind?
SPEAKER_00I mean, yes, because I was behind him, so my tyres were struggling. Um, but yeah, he didn't make a mistake, so there wasn't much I could do. But apart from that, it's been a really solid weekend again. So thank you to everyone at JHR Developments, and we'll keep working.
SPEAKER_01I can understand the disappointment of perhaps not getting your your hands on the on the trophy, but more importantly, as far as the season's concerned, a solid point score for you. And you leave here at the top of the standings.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, really disappointing, it's what I wanted to get, but I mean we take the positives, we're leading the championship into Zambort, so yeah.
