The Wera Tools F4 British Championship certified by FIA is the first step for aspiring young drivers making the transition from karting into single seaters. The series entered an exciting new phase in 2022 with the second generation Tatuus T-421 chassis – featuring the all-important halo safety feature – and Abarth engines.
Wera Tools British F4 will continue to be the premier UK single-seater series for drivers looking to progress their careers with ambitions to follow in the footsteps of former British F4 champion Lando Norris and reach the pinnacle of the sport – Formula 1.
Since 2022, Motorsport UK has organised and promoted the championship, which features leading teams and at a competitive price enables drivers as young as 15 years of age to race on some of the most challenging and renowned circuits in the world. As the championship is certified by the FIA, 12 Super Licence points will be awarded to the overall champion to aid their progression through the single seater ranks.
British F4 offers real prospects for progression of young talent into the international scene and the championship’s 30 races, held over ten rounds, will continue to be showcased on the high-profile support package of the British Touring Car Championship, which features live free-to-air TV coverage.

Well Dries, I think uh a sigh of relief from you there. You needed that podium this weekend, didn't you? Because it's been a difficult one.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, difficult one to say the least. Um yeah, luck was not really on my side at any point uh during this weekend, obviously last time. Last uh race um everything you know came together a little bit better again. So um got my luck back a bit at the at race three, but before that obviously red flag and qualifying didn't help me out. Uh race one, obviously the contact, um, and also had a bit of an engine issue there as well with the sensors. So um yeah, that wasn't great, and then race two for getting you know a bit unfortunate. So um yeah, nice to finally you know finish a race and have a decent result, so uh happy with that.
SPEAKER_00The last two weekends have shown just how competitive this championship is and how fine the margins are. Um yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Obviously, 500 saw the difference between P5 and P1. So um yeah, obviously it's always going to be fine, uh fine margins um around here, but especially this year it's it's really close, so um yeah, it's it's competitive and uh you know you have to work really hard for it. Um but no, um happy to still come away with a decent lead, uh but no, it's just about you know staying consistent and uh hopefully the form returns a bit better when I head back to Dollington.
SPEAKER_00An excellent drive from you, and you had to pick your moments, didn't you, when you you saw the opportunity and go for it.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, I mean uh obviously you know sat back a bit in the beginning. Um don't think I'd quite had the pace um to challenge you know what Lewis or uh or Jabba for the wind, but um yeah, pick my moment when Ethan had a slight slight twitch out of T7, so um yeah, happy with uh happy with the podium and the move I did as well.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely, and round here with the wind down the back straight and settling the cars and the the track temperature, tire degradation, there's so much to think about at the towards the back end of a race.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, uh it's it's chaotic around here to say the least. Um no, it it it's uh always keeping it on the toes. I mean you if you make more mistake, let's say around Goodwood Corner and you have a bad run, it's you know it's always gonna be tricky. So um yeah, not not an easy track to race around for sure.
